Dunster Dovecote

The Dunster Dovecote is estimated to have been built in the late 16th century, and would have been built to hold pigeons or doves and is a grade 2 listed building.

It is located in the Priory Green just opposite the Tithe Barn and the Priory Church or St George and is definitely worth a visit when you visit Dunster to see it for yourself. A good photo opportunity which you can combine when you visit the Tithe Barn and the Priory Church.

The Dunster Dovecot is approx 5.8m high and 5.8m in diameter with the walls being around 1.2m thick and it contains 540 nest holes.
